We always require the exact dimensions of the parasol. We automatically add the necessary tolerances.
Can parasols remain outside during winter?
Yes, with a high-quality winter-proof protective cover, parasols can be left outside over the winter. The cover must be waterproof and breathable to prevent frost damage and mold growth. It is important that the parasol is packed away dry and that the cover fits snugly – similar to our beach chair covers with a roll-up front.
Which protective cover fits a pole or cantilever umbrella?
Pedestal umbrellas require special protective covers with extra space for the side arm, while stick umbrellas are optimally protected with straight covers. The shape of the cover must match the type of umbrella – Wettertüte tailor-made solutions for both variants, just as it does for sun islands in various shapes.
What materials is a protective cover for a parasol made of?
We use polyurethane-coated polyester fabric that is waterproof and UV-resistant. The material should be breathable to prevent condensation. PVC-free, Oeko-Tex certified fabrics are particularly environmentally friendly and durable – we also use this quality for our garden table covers.
How can I prevent the protective cover from blowing away or slipping?
Use covers with integrated drawstrings at the bottom hem and additional fastening straps. A sewn-in rod gives the cover stability. In extreme wind conditions, we also recommend using a tension strap around the middle of the cover.
