This is the case, for example, if the column is not used for a longer period of time or is temporarily out of service. We offer you wallbox protective covers in a modern design with individual lettering - made entirely according to your wishes!
Protective cover for wallbox, charging station & co.: protection can be this simple
Charging stations for electric cars or other electric vehicles are generally considered to be weatherproof. Nevertheless, there are good reasons for a waterproof wallbox protective cover. These include environmental influences such as verdigris, bird droppings or permanent UV radiation. Occasionally, an inconspicuous cover for the charging stations is simply desired. As there are many wallboxes for different applications, we manufacture our charging station covers only made to measure. We have ready-made CAD plans from manufacturers such as Alfen, Mennekes or Hypercharger from Alpitronic. For common models such as Compleo, QC 45, Terra 53, Alfen Double PG, HV 160, Terra 175, Sicharge etc., cuts are also already available so that we can offer you fast delivery of the ordered goods.
A variety of materials for strong protection
We use specially selected materials to ensure that your wallbox cover looks good. Our customers prefer the fully printed covers. These are made of printed polyester fabric with a grammage of 245 g/m². The material can also be equipped with B1 protection. We can also offer our standard fabrics. These include our PU-coated polyester, in which the seams are also welded to make them waterproof. Another alternative is our ripstop fabric. For the last two variants, we can also print a logo or additional text. The ripstop fabric and our PU fabric are waterproof and breathable. If you are unsure about the material, you will find informative reference photos below. The welded fabric is also Ökotex standard certified. The ripstop fabric is REACH-certified and robust. What is a charging pole or charging station cover?
A wallbox protective cover is a customized textile or fabric cover that protects the charging point when it is not operational, identifies it or promotes your brand.
Why is a protective cover for the charging station useful?
- Clearly signals "not in operation" - for example during maintenance or faults.
- Provides protection against vandalism (e.g. graffiti), UV exposure, bird droppings and weathering.
- Enables branding - for example with logo imprint or notices.
What materials do we use?
- Fully printed 100% polyester fabric (245 g/m², water-repellent); optionally in flame-retardant B1 quality (275 g/m²).
- RipStop fabric (approx. 300 g/m², waterproof, breathable, REACH-certified) - ideal for neutral or minimally branded covers; optionally also with PVC insert (e.g. for changing notices made of hard foam boards, paper, etc.).
- PU-coated polyester (190 g/m², Oeko-Tex-certified, UV-stable, waterproof) - fully machine washable, including ultrasonically welded seams and also breathable
What variants and extras do we offer for the individual charging station covers?
For your wallbox, we offer protective covers with zippers to make them easier to pull over, eyelets, drawstrings, document pockets, theft protection using steel cables with locks and more. Please contact us for your individual requirements.
How long does production take?
The production of charging station covers usually takes 2-4 weeks. For larger orders, we will coordinate the production date with you individually.
Are there also standard sizes or only made to measure?
Due to the variety of charging station types (e.g. Alfen, Mennekes, Compleo, HYC series), we only manufacture individually and from one piece.
Are the covers weatherproof?
Yes - all variants offer reliable protection:
The fully printed fabric is water-repellent. The RipStop fabric is waterproof and the seams are splash-proof. It is also breathable thanks to an integrated membrane.
The PU-coated version, which is ultrasonically welded, is completely waterproof (including seams) and also breathable.
Can I use my own designs or logos for the covers?
Of course - individually printed in CMYK. On request, we can provide you with InDesign templates and reference designs for inspiration.
What print data do you need for full-surface printed covers?
We require the print data as a printable PDF file. Alternatively, we can also provide you with InDesign templates for the respective charging pole type. We need one width x height for the front and rear view, one depth x height for the sides and one width x depth for the "cover". In each case with 5 mm bleed all around.
Please create the printable PDF without register marks or bleed marks. Please create all colors in CMYK.
Using the Alpitronic HYC150/200 in the format 62x100x230 cm (width x depth x height) as an example, the print data would be as follows:
Front and back: 63×231 cm (incl. 5 mm bleed)
Side panels: 101×231 cm (incl. 5 mm bleed)
Cover: 63×101 cm (incl. 5 mm bleed)
If we provide you with the Indesign files, you can either provide us with the printable PDF, which you can export to Indesign, or alternatively the Indesign files themselves.
Important: For the best printing result, please use vectorized files and convert all texts into curves.
Our design department is overloaded. What can we do to get a layout?
That's no problem. We will be happy to provide you with a suitable design proposal for your future charging station covers "free of charge".
