Roof tent cover breathable misappropriated Wettertuete - why not. Vacation in Scandinavia

Roof tent on the car

Here is an experience report of a different kind: We are happy that our Wettertuete can also be used for other purposes. In this case as a roof tent:

Hello dear weather bag team,

I would like to contact you again briefly after my request from last year. It was then that I wanted to use your Wettertüte not as usual as furniture protection, but as rain protection for my roof tent on the car, for a trip to Norway. A problem with our roof tent is that it is rainproof, but you still "stow" the damp tent wall during the day in the closed box. Here it can neither dry, nor does it make the mattress in the tent more comfortable, the moisture eventually draws in and everything gets clammy. Therefore, I was looking for an Überstülplösung and found it with you. After the custom-made seemed a bit too expensive, I bought a standard size with the fabric 2.0 in your store in June.

And now we are back home from our trip. The cover worked very well, it fit almost perfectly on our roof tent, was just not custom made. To facilitate good ventilation and also access, I mounted telescopic rails to brace the hull to the side. This allowed us to get in and out dry and the cover was also well braced against wind. And in Norway, it virtually "saved" us! No matter whether storm, rain or sunshine, the cover kept us and especially our roof tent dry, so that we never had to drive this damp together or let dry. Also, it was much warmer in the roof tent, because there was a kind of insulation layer, and without condensation on the roof tent or the Wettertüte. A real benefit therefore and we could sleep every night with peace of mind!

The fabric 2.0 is really ingenious. It was absolutely dense, fast drying, windproof, flexible stretch and did not tear. Rather a kind of grab bag than Wettertüte. ;-)

So it's certainly not the usual use and certainly the first feedback of its kind, but maybe it will be included in your program someday. J

Enclosed are a few more photos in "action" to give you an impression.
